Time: 2hr Servings: 6 (for wontons) 3 (for broth)
Ingredients
Wontons
1lb of ground meat of choice (I like pork)
6-8 minced shrimp
1 stalk green onion, chopped
1 tsp minced ginger
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 and 1/2 tsp honey
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp chicken bullion
3 tbsp water
1 egg
1 pack of wonton wrappers
Broth
2 cups chicken broth
2 and 1/4 cups water
1 inch piece of ginger
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp MSG
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp honey
1 tsp sesame oil
1 bundle of noodle of choice
2 bundles of baby bok choy
Instructions
For wontons, mix all ingredients together in a bowl until very well mixed (I like to use clean hands to mush everything together)
Fold in 1 tbsp of filling into a wonton wrapper. Use a little water on your finger and wet the edges of the wrapper to ensure the dough sticks together when folding (this part can be tricky! Use youtube or tik tok videos if you need a reference for folding. One will be added when I have time)
On medium heat, mix together all broth ingredients in a pot. Once boiling, add in desired amount of wontons until well cooked (about 7min). Cook noodles according to package directions and add to the broth. Blanch the bok choy and add to the broth.
Dish out soup and garnish with green onion and sesame seeds if desired
