Banana Bread

Time: 1 hour 20 min Servings: 1 loaf Oven: 350F

Ingredients

  • 3-4 over-ripe bananas

  • 1/3 cup water

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/3 cup butter, softened

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1 and 2/3 cups flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mash the bananas and stir in the water until smooth.

  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until well combined.

  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla, mix until creamy.

  4. Add in the mashed bananas until combined.

  5. Add in the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder and mix until just well combined.

  6. Fold in the chocolate chips or nuts.

  7. Pour batter into a greased loaf tin, or a loaf tin lined with parchment paper. Optionally, top with a sprinkle of sugar or more nuts/chocolate chips.

  8. Bake it at 350 for 55 min.
