Ingredients

  • 350g of thinly sliced beef

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1/4 tsp cornstarch

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 2 squares of vermicelli noodles (or rice)

  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced

  • 1/2 carrot, sliced

  • chopped iceberg lettuce

  • 4 spring rolls of choice

  • *Optional - mint, coriander, peanuts

Fish Sauce

  • 3 tbsp fish sauce

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 15 tbsp warm water

  • 3 tsp lime juice

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1 chilli, minced

Instructions

  1. Prepare by slicing beef and chopping all vegetables. Allow your beef to marinate in oyster sauce, cornstarch, minced garlic cloves, sugar and oil for 30 minutes.

  2. Begin cooking spring rolls in a toaster oven or oven according to package instructions as these will take 20 minutes.

  3. Prepare vermicelli noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse in cold water, set aside.

  4. Cook the marinated beef slices in a pan of medium heat until cook medium-rare.

  5. Prepare the fish sauce as the beef cooks. Ensure you mix until sugar is dissolved. Place in the fridge to chill before serving.

  6. To assemble, first start by filling a bowl half-way with the noodles. Top with cucumber, lettuce, carrots, spring roll and beef. Lastly, drizzle as little or as much fish sauce as you would like and enjoy!
