Teriyaki Ground Beef/Turkey Bowls

Ingredients:


For the Teriyaki Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 3 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 cup water, divided

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated or minced

  • 2 tbsp corn starch

  • 1 tbsp orange zest


For the Stir Fry

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey

  • 2 tsp sesame oil

  • 3 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen

  • 1 small onion small diced

  • 1 cup shredded carrots

  • salt and pepper to taste as desired


Instructions

  1. In a sauce pan, combine all sauce ingredients and mix consistently on low-medium heat until thick. Remove from heat

  2. In a pan, brown your meat with the onions.

  3. Once browned, add in all veggies and cook until soften.

  4. Finally, add in the teriyaki sauce over-top the mixture. Serve over rice
