Southern Fried Cabbage

Ingredients

  • Whole cabbage, chopped

  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped

  • 4-5 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 packet of bacon, cut up

  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tbsp old bay seasoning

  • 1/2 tbsp chicken bullion

  • 1/2 tbsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Fry up cut bacon in a pan. Set aside when done

  2. Sauté garlic in the bacon grease and toss in the rest of the veggies aside from cabbage

  3. Add in the spice when onions begin to turn translucent. Cook for 2-3 min

  4. Toss in half the cabbage and cover with the lid until it is cooked down. Do the same for the other half afterwards

  5. Add back the bacon and give it a good mix before serving
