Korean Sweet and Sticky Chicken

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless chicken thighs

  • 1/4 cup cornstarch

  • 1/3 cup green onions, chopped

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 1/3 cup oil (if pan frying)

Sauce

  • 1 and 1/2 tbsp garlic, minced

  • 1/3 cup green onions, chopped

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

  • 4 and 1/2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 3 and 1/2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Dice chicken onto bite size pieces

  2. Add chicken to a large bowl followed by cornstarch and mix well to coat each piece of chicken

  3. In a smaller bowl, whisk together your sauce ingredients

  4. In a smoking hot wok with oil, or in a air-fryer, fry and cook your chicken until crispy

  5. In a pan, cook your onions until soft and add your sauce. Let simmer and reduce for 5 min until thick and glossy

  6. Add back in the chicken and mix. Serve over rice and garnish with sesame seeds
