Honey Garlic Chicken

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1.5 lbs boneless chicken, cut into cubes

  • 1/2 tsp white pepper

  • 1 egg white

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp corn starch

  • 1 tbsp water


Flour Dredge

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 cup corn starch

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp chili powder

  • 1/4 tsp white pepper

  • Oil spray


Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 5-7 cloves minced garlic

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup water + 1 tsp cornstarch (slurry)


Instructions

  1. Marinade the chicken for about 15 min

  2. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture before placing them evenly on a air fryer rack and lighly coating them with some oil spray

  3. Air fry chicken at 385F for 7-8 minutes. Flip the chicken, spray again and then air fry again at 400F for another 7-8 minutes

  4. While chicken is cooking, make the sauce in a sauce pan on medium heat by combining the butter, garlic, soy sauce, honey and brown sugar. Once all ingredients are incorporated and mixed together, add the slurry to thicken it up.

  5. Toss the air fried chicken in the sauce until evenly coated

  6. Serve on a bed of rice with sides of your choice such as a asian cucumber salad, kimchi or sesame spinach.
