Time: 30 min Servings: 4
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts, sliced
Assorted vegetables (such as bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, zucchini), sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Optional: 1/4 teaspoon MSG (for added flavor)
Sesame seeds, for garnish
1 1/2 cups rice OR noodles of choice
Instructions:
Slice chicken breasts and assorted vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Mince garlic.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, white pepper, and optional MSG. Set aside.
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a splash of oil to the skillet. Once the oil is hot, add sliced chicken breasts. Stir-fry the chicken for 4-5 minutes until cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add assorted vegetables to the skillet and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
Return cooked chicken to the skillet with the stir-fried vegetables.
Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and vegetables in the skillet. Stir well to coat the chicken and vegetables evenly with the sauce. Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Sprinkle sesame seeds over the chicken and vegetable stir-fry. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.
