Time: 30 min Servings: 3-4

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb striploin steak, cubed

  • 1 red bell pepper, cubed

  • 1 green bell pepper, cubed

  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cubed

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 6 cloves garlic, roughly chopped

Sauce

  • 3 tsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 2 tsp corn starch

Instructions

  1. Prepare all your vegetables by slicing your peppers and onions into 1 inch squares, then rough chopping all the garlic, set aside for later.

  2. Cut steak into 3/4 inch cubes for frying.

  3. Prepare your cornstarch slurry by mixing water with cornstarch. You can also prepare you sauce ahead of time by combining sugar, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce and black pepper. Set aside for later.

  4. Heat up your wok or pan over high heat and add some oil. Sear your steak and cook for 2 minutes and remove. The steak will cook quickly since they are thinly sliced. You do not want to overcook.

  5. Remove steak and add more oil if needed to sauté your vegetables for 3 minutes.

  6. Add in sauce and allow it to heat up. Once sauce is warmed up, add your beef back in and stir for 2 minutes to coat the beef. Remove from heat and serve with your favourite noodles or rice.
