Time: 30 min Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef strips (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced

  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots), thinly sliced or chopped

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the beef strips with soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Allow the beef to marinate for at least 15-20 minutes.

  2. While the beef is marinating, chop or slice the mixed vegetables into uniform sizes for even cooking.

  3. In a wok or large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat.

  4. Add the marinated beef to the hot oil in a single layer. Sear the beef for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove the beef from the wok and set it aside.

  5. Add the remaining tablespoon of sesame oil to the wok. Add the sliced or chopped mixed vegetables. Stir-fry the vegetables for 4-5 minutes or until they are tender-crisp.

  6. Return the cooked beef to the wok with the vegetables. Toss everything together, ensuring even distribution of flavors.

  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat the beef and vegetables thoroughly.

  8. Serve the beef and vegetable stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles.

  9. Garnish with sesame seeds, chopped green onions, or cilantro for added flavor and freshness.
