Beef and Broccoli Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced

  • 1 lb broccoli, chopped

  • 1 lb lo mein noodles

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp ginger, minced

  • green onion, chopped

  • sesame seeds to garnish

Marinade

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp shaoxing wine

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp white pepper

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp neutral oil

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp white pepper

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1/4 tsp MSG

  • 3/4 cup chicken stock

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Marinade your beef in marinade for 20 min, meanwhile, make your sauce in a separate bowl

  2. Blanch chopped broccoli in a pot of boiling water for 1 min

  3. Cook noodles according to package instructions

  4. Over high heat in neutral oil, fry beef for 2-3 min and remove

  5. In the same oil, fry garlic and ginger for a few min and then add in your broccoli, stir-fry for 30 seconds

  6. Add back your beef and noodles

  7. Add in sauce and mix until sauce is combined

  8. Top with green onion and sesame seeds to garnish
